Product Description
Hot Melt Paint is a type of coating made from thermoplastic materials, which are polymers that become soft and moldable when heated and harden again upon cooling. This paint is designed to be applied to various surfaces, particularly for road markings, industrial equipment, and decorative finishes.
Main Components and Features
1. Titanium dioxide: Good whiteness, high purity, small particle size, low oil absorption
2. C5 resin: Outstanding affinity for pigments, good compatibility with EVA, good heat stability
3. PE wax: Heat resistance, abrasion resistance, as a lubricant, increase paint processing performance.
4. Calcium carbonate: High precise classification, high whiteness
5. Glass beads: Drop on glass beads, intermix glass bead, we use top brand beads brand, high reflective.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of hot melt road paint markings compared with cold paint markings?
1. Road Cleaning
Before operation, the nearby area must be cleaned to ensure that there are no impurities such as oil, water, fallen leaves, weeds, ect., so as not to affect the adhesion effect, flatness and reflection effect of the line.
2. Set the Point and Mark Line
In the process of sampling, the calculation and measurement must be carried out in strict accordance with the construction drawings. Measure the several lanes that need to be drawn on the road, set the point, and then mark it with a stone pen. Use titanium dioxide powder to glue the rope for the elastic line. After the rope is removed, it will be corrected and improved to ensure that the line shape is clear and accurate.
3. Apply the Primer
The lower coating is a common binder in hot melt marking construction. It is applied to the highway road surface, which can make the hot melt coating better adhere to the road surface.
4. Spray the Paint
Before construction, first check the relevant coating equipment. Then heat the paint.
When the trolley moves forward, the paint will form a coating film on the road, and a layer of glass beads should be sprinkled on the coating film during the coating process.
When the trolley moves forward, take the reference line as the ruler, control the thickness and width of the line, and ensure the coordination, clarity and smoothness of the line connection between the straight line and the curve.
Note: During the coating process, in order to avoid the sedimentation and separation of the paint, it is necessary to stir the paint frequently.
5. Check and Correct
After the coating is completed, check and correct the line shape, check the spread of glass beads, etc.
After confirming that it is correct, the construction site will be cleaned up.
After the line is dried and hardened, the relevant construction equipment can be transferred, the safety facilities can be dismantled, and the traffic can be opened.

Advantages of Hot Melt Coating
Durability: Hot melt paints are highly durable and resistant to abrasion, making them ideal for high-traffic areas. This is why they are commonly used for road markings and other outdoor applications exposed to wear and tear.
Quick Drying: These paints dry rapidly once applied, reducing downtime and enabling faster project completion. This is especially useful in industries where time is a crucial factor.
Weather Resistance: Hot melt paints are designed to withstand various weather conditions, including UV exposure, rain, and snow. This makes them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, particularly for applications like road markings that are exposed to the elements.
Enhanced Adhesion: The thermoplastic nature of the paint allows it to bond effectively with a variety of surfaces, including asphalt, concrete, and metal. This strong adhesion enhances the longevity of the paint.
Non-toxic and Environmentally Friendly: Many hot melt paints are formulated with non-toxic ingredients, making them safer for both users and the environment. They typically have lower levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) compared to traditional solvent-based paints.
Reflective Properties: Hot melt paints can be made with reflective beads, improving visibility at night or in low-light conditions. This is particularly useful for road markings, pedestrian crossings, and other safety applications.
Ease of Application: Hot melt paints are relatively easy to apply, especially with specialized equipment. Once melted, the paint can be spread uniformly over large areas, such as road surfaces or warehouse floors.
Cost-Effective: Although the initial equipment for applying hot melt paint can be expensive, the long-term benefits—such as reduced maintenance and longer-lasting applications—often make it a cost-effective solution.
Chemical Resistance: These paints generally exhibit good resistance to chemicals, oils, and other substances that might degrade other types of coatings, making them suitable for industrial environments.
